ZDNet had an interesting article questioning how the Internet would hold up to the Olympic streaming demands. Since all of the video will be using unicast technologies, it is a real question.
What most frustrates me though is that the CDN pushing the content, Limelight Networks, is serving the Silverlight video using Linux and Apache, however when I try to watch the same video from my Linux desktop, I get a very polite you’re unwelcome message.
I want to do my part to crash the Internet, well at least Comcast. Now I have to use a windows box. Arrrrgh!
